Common goal of adhesive tape or adhesive application is to achieve maximum of possible adhesion that means mainly strong , reliable and durable bond. We usually try to measure the adhesion by many tests of peel and shear strenght. We believe that peel test / in N per cm/ is very useful for adhesion inspection. But sometimes even the very strong adhesives or tapes /according to technical pages from manufactures/ fail and bond has low strenght and short durability. That doesnt mean that data were wrong, it means in many cases that we did not prepare the surface for bonding correctly and in professional way.
The best adhesive systems can fail if bonded surface is contamined by oil, fat, dirt, dust, rost, lubrikants, finger prints etc.
For really heavy poluted surfaces we must use industrial chemical cleaning processes, for final cleaning and activation we recommend to use high performance L 151 activator/cleaner. You can gain best results provided you apply this activator by three steps method. After cleaning and activation, when surface is dry, we recommend to do bond immediately. Proper cleaning and activation ensure the possibility to achieve maximum performance of the tape or adhesive for given surface.
We can advice you optimum surface treatment for adhesive bonding in case of aluminium, magnesium, titanium and its alloys, stainless steel.

Adhesive residues removal, floor stains from tires removal, old labels removal, pe-foam tape residues removal- all are frequent questions from our customers.
We have a brilliant agent L152 for the above mentioned work. It is liquid with citrus scent. Apply few drops or make surface slightly wet and leave it work for about 5 min. Than you can remove it by paper towel. If it is still resistant, repeat the procedure.
But be careful, it is flammable!! and before application to painted surfaces or plastic, please, check if agent does not corrode them!
